Ashley Armstrong
Attorney at Law
A Bremerton native, Ms. Armstrong’s path to law began in the classrooms and community of Kitsap County. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington — where she made the Dean’s List and served as a Washington State Legislative Intern — she went on to graduate with honors from Seattle University School of Law.
Today, Ms. Armstrong is proud to serve the same community that raised her. Her legal practice is dedicated solely to representing injury victims in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. She is an EAGLE member of the Washington State Association for Justice and a member of the Kitsap County Bar Association. She is also a Kitsap County Superior Court Arbitrator.
Her commitment to justice doesn’t end in the courtroom. Ms. Armstrong is deeply involved in her hometown — coaching youth soccer with the Bremerton Soccer Club, mentoring young runners with the Bremerton Jaguars, and lending her leadership to local organizations like the Silverdale and Bremerton YMCA's, East Bremerton Rotary, Central Kitsap Montessori Parents Association, Silverwood School, and the West Sound Seawolves Baseball Club. She also co-founded and coached the YMCA Youth & Government Mock Trial team, helping shape the next generation of advocates.
A recipient of the 20 Under 40 award from the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal and multiple Best of Bremerton, Best of Central Kitsap, and Washington Super Lawyer honors, Ms. Armstrong is recognized for both her legal excellence and her deep community ties.
As a cancer survivor, Ms. Armstrong understands how overwhelming medical challenges can be — physically, emotionally, and financially. She knows how important it is to focus on healing, regain control, and get back to living your life.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her enjoying the PNW outdoors — snow skiing, boating, hiking, and cheering on her three children at sporting events.

Tanya Thompson
Legal Assistant
With over two decades of experience in the legal field, Ms. Thompson began her journey in 2000, working in various administrative roles before transitioning to a full-time legal assistant position in 2011. Her deep-rooted knowledge of legal processes and commitment to client care make her an invaluable part of our personal injury team.
For Ms. Thompson, the most rewarding part of working in personal injury law is helping people navigate life after serious accidents. “Being involved in an accident can be life-changing. While no settlement can undo the harm, it can bring relief and a sense of justice. Knowing that my work contributes to that outcome is incredibly fulfilling.”
One of the greatest challenges she sees is a lack of public awareness around insurance coverage. “Too many people don’t fully understand their policies until it’s too late. I’ve seen clients feel blindsided after discovering they’re underinsured. It’s something I’m passionate about educating people on.”
Outside the office, Ms. Thompson enjoys live music, experimenting with new recipes, and tackling home improvement projects. Her attention to detail and drive to help others extends from her professional life into everything she does.

Joy Zegstroo
Legal Assistant
With a legal career spanning over five decades, Ms. Zegstroo brings unmatched experience and wisdom to the firm. She began her journey in 1969 and has been a steady presence in the Kitsap legal community ever since.
Throughout her career in personal injury law, Ms. Zegstroo has remained committed to guiding clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives. “I love helping people through stressful and unfamiliar situations. Insurance companies often try to take advantage, and I take pride in helping level the playing field.” Her compassionate yet fierce advocacy provides relief to those coping with pain, lost wages, and the emotional toll of an accident.
One of the ongoing challenges she tackles is navigating the complexities of subrogation. “It can be confusing for clients and even for us at times — but we always get it done.”
Outside the office, Ms. Zegstroo and her husband run Country Stables, a horse boarding facility in Poulsbo. She’s also an active member of the Lakeland Village Ladies Golf Club and cherishes spending time with her daughters, their husbands, and her beloved granddaughters.
